Biography

Jackie Campbell’s life has centered around art since her childhood days in the baked landscapes of the Mojave Desert in Southern California.  Today, she’s at home in Colorado, painting and teaching others to paint what they see and enjoy.

Jackie received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Cal Poly-Pomona, then taught high school art in Southern California.

My passion remains on a canvas,” she said. “Painting and teaching others to paint is what I have to do to be the best me.”

Jackie currently teaches watercolor, but also enjoys painting in oil and acrylic.  As the lead artist for “Campbell’s Creative Art,” Jackie paints with a china glaze on any ceramic and/or porcelain tile, then fires them in a kiln and installs murals for kitchens, fireplaces, bathrooms and table tops.

“I love tile painting and making it large,” she said. “These murals can transform a room into a piece of art, and I get more excited about what I’m doing with every mural.”

In addition to painting on canvas and tiles, Jackie also paints acrylic murals directly on drywall of homes.

“Basically, anywhere that will take paint, I will paint on it – I just love the whole process,” she said. Jackie speaks to artists throughout Colorado on subjects ranging from pricing your art, marketing yourself and taking your art to the finish line.
